On March 25, 1867, Arturo Toscanini was born in this house in Parma's Oltretorrente, now a museum.
Erected as a museum in 1967 on the occasion of the centenary of the Maestro's birth, on the 50th anniversary of Toscanini's death, after profound renovations from both a museum and structural point of view.

Each room in the House recounts aspects of the great Maestro's life and work: “Parma and Toscanini,” “His Life,” “The Image of the Myth,” “His Traveling Companions,” “Toscanini, the Record and Other Media,” “The Scale Years,” and “Other Memories...”
