The Church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio, located in the picturesque village of Zibello, in the province of Parma, is one of the most fascinating examples of religious architecture in the area. The church, dedicated to the holy martyrs Gervasio and Protasio, dates back to the 12th century and features an interesting mix of styles that reflect the different phases of expansion and restoration that it has undergone over the centuries.

History and Architecture
The church was built in the medieval era, but over the centuries it has undergone numerous renovations, especially during the Renaissance, a period in which artistic details of great value were added. The façade is simple but elegant, with a portico that welcomes the faithful. The interior, with a single nave, is embellished with frescoes and works of art that tell the story of Christianity and the local community. The tall and slender bell tower is one of the most recognizable elements of the Zibello panorama.

Worship and Tradition
Every year, the church becomes the center of important religious celebrations, especially during the festivities dedicated to Saints Gervasio and Protasio, on June 19. During these celebrations, the faithful participate in processions and solemn masses, which attract numerous visitors from all over the region.
