Salsomaggiore, known to many for its famous spa treatments and for having had Miss Italy for many years, boasts a vast array of restaurants and agritourisms that are unique in their kind, they are subject to the traditional cuisine of the area but also that of our cousins from Piacenza given that Salsomaggiore borders the Piacenza area. Having said this, you can find on the tables of its restaurants, trattorias, agritourisms and inns the famous traditional cured meats from both Parma and Piacenza (Parma ham, culatello, Felino salami, raw shoulder, Piacenza bacon and Piacenza coppa), the first courses reflect both Parma and Piacenza in equal measure (tortelli d'erbetta Parma, pisarei and beans Piacenza etc. ... ) on the second courses the same and so also for the desserts.
