Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Felino
The Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the main place of worship in Felino, located in Piazza Achille Miodini. Its origins date back to at least 1230, when it was a chapel subordinate to the parish church of Sant'Antonino Martire di Barbiano. In 1564, it became an independent parish and underwent expansions during the 17th century, taking on Renaissance forms while retaining medieval elements.
In 1896, lightning struck the bell tower, which was rebuilt in neo-Romanesque style. More recently, the 2008 earthquake caused structural damage, leading to restoration work in 2013.

Architectural features
Facade: salient, plastered, with a large pediment and three windows (of which the central one has a round arch).
Bell tower: Romanesque structure with a 19th-century bell chamber, three-light windows and an octagonal spire.
Interior: single nave, with a barrel vault with lunettes decorated with frescoes.
