Located in the beautiful Val Baganza, near Cassio and Chiastre di Ravarano, in the municipality of Terenzo, the Salti del Diavolo are among the most fascinating natural attractions in the Parma Apennines.
These unusual rock formations were created millions of years ago through geological processes and shaped over time by erosion. Their impressive shapes rise from the surrounding woodland, creating a distinctive landscape.
According to a local legend, the Devil tried to tempt a hermit with riches and earthly pleasures. When the hermit resisted, the Devil fled in anger, leaving enormous marks on the ground that became known as the Salti del Diavolo.
Today, this remarkable natural site attracts hikers, photographers and visitors interested in discovering the geological wonders, mysterious legends and beautiful scenery of the Parma mountains.
