Important road and rail junction located at the confluence of the Ceno and Taro rivers and surrounded by the first pre-Apennine promontories. Since the Middle Ages Fornovo represented a passage point for all those who wanted to reach Tuscany and Liguria from the Po Valley.In the center of the town it is located an Important Pieve with its three aisles, dating befor the 1.000 year, with its beautiful carvings and the famous statue of the Pilgrim Romeo. The market of Fornovo has always been a benchmark for neighboring villages. There are a railroad station, a toll highway and a private nursing home.
