At 1,058 metres above sea level, Monte Sporno is one of the most scenic peaks in the Parma Apennines. Situated between the Parma and Baganza valleys, it offers spectacular views that, on clear days, extend as far as the Alps.
For walkers, Monte Sporno is an ideal destination. Trails are accessible from various Langhirano localities, including Castrignano, Riano, Vallerano and Ramiano. One of the most popular routes is the Castrignano-Monte Milano-Monte Sporno loop, about 12 km long and with a moderate altitude difference, perfect for a half-day immersion in nature.
Every year, the Monte Sporno Trail is held, a sporting event with various routes for trail runners and more experienced hikers.
Whether a simple walk or a more demanding hike, the Monte Sporno offers a unique experience of nature, breathtaking views and tranquillity.
